Forum on AI-Empowered Innovation in Higher Education Held at Beijing Jiaotong University

On April 19, 2025, the Forum on AI-Empowered Innovation in Higher Education was held at the Mechanical Engineering Building of Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU). Several hundred experts and scholars from universities across the country attended, including university leaders in charge of teaching and heads of academic affairs offices, information centers, quality evaluation centers, teacher development centers, and schools.

The forum was hosted by BJTU under the guidance of the Education Informatization Branch of the China Association of Higher Education and the Beijing Association of Higher Education, with JYD as the organizing partner, and was co-organized by two research branches of the Beijing Association of Higher Education. Together, participants explored pathways for AI-driven innovation in higher education and injected new momentum into high-quality talent cultivation.

In the opening ceremony, Vice President Jing Tao of BJTU welcomed on-site and online participants and introduced the university's exploration of smart teaching. Leaders of the guiding associations and JYD's chairman delivered opening remarks. Representatives of the Higher Education Division of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission noted that AI is not merely a technical tool but a core driver of educational innovation and teaching quality, encouraging universities in the capital to play a demonstrative role in leading digital transformation and deepening industry-academia-research-application collaboration.

Centered on the theme of "AI + Higher Education," the forum featured in-depth discussions across five thematic tracks: technology application, teaching transformation, teacher and student digital literacy, curriculum innovation, and typical cases. Speakers included senior leaders of academic affairs and information technology from Beijing Jiaotong University, Beihang University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Shanghai University, Beijing University of Technology, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Delivering the keynote on behalf of JYD, Vice President Cao Wei presented "Big Data, Large Models, and Intelligent Agents — Connecting Classroom Teaching, Experimental Teaching, and Quality Evaluation: AIGC Empowering the Whole Process of Talent Cultivation," outlining how JYD's AIGC capabilities connect classroom instruction, laboratory teaching, and learning-quality evaluation across the entire talent-cultivation process.

The forum also featured a Smart Teaching Scenario Experience Zone with interactive displays covering smart classrooms, practical teaching, and quality evaluation, giving participants first-hand experience of how intelligent technologies are embedded in every stage of teaching.

The forum provided a valuable platform for university-to-university and university-to-enterprise exchange, showcasing both the theoretical foundation and practical examples of AI-education integration. JYD will continue to innovate and provide sustained support for cultivating the innovative talents of the future.
